The Administrator (Underwriting Assistant) will support our customers and external third parties. You will carry out general administration support in the Underwriting team and provide a professional, efficient and high standard of customer service to customers, intermediaries, valuers and solicitors acting in a compliant manner at all times in line with regulatory guidelines.
The role will involve:
Print mortgage offers/revised mortgage offers, collating and packing for posting
Chase Brokers for outstanding information/documentation
Create Customer and Solicitor mortgage offer packs
Organise declined/cancelled files ensuring all documents have been uploaded to the mortgage processing system, scanning items to system record where appropriate
Provide telephone support answering incoming calls during busy times
Work to agreed objectives, service standards and deliverables
Deal with queries and enquiries effectively, accurately, and professionally, delivering excellent customer service
Develop positive working relationships with colleagues
Make suggestions for improvements to processes to enhance service and efficiency
Adhere to internal/external compliance, credit review and audit requirements
To be successful for the Underwriting Assistant position you will ideally have some previous experience relating to the financial services or property sector or you may have proven more general customer support and administration experience and be interested in a career within the mortgage sector. You may also be a recent College or University leaver seeking your first role as we can provide full training. You should be PC literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office products and excellent communication skills.
