**Benfield Hall is a privately owned 20 bedded Mental Health Care Home based in Consett.**

**We are looking for a part time administrator to join our team.**

**JOB PURPOSE**: Responsible for the day to day administrative procedures associated with effective management of the Home

To provide administrative/secretarial support to the Manager/Directors

**Specific Requirements**

MUST be proficient in the use of both word and excel software, be numerate, have a good grasp of the English Language, both oral and written and have the ability to take and reproduce minutes of meetings.

Must understand the need to promote the privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights and fulfilment of all service users, treating everyone with respect.
- Processing all incoming telephone calls, processing of all correspondence, receipt and dispatch of incoming./outgoing mail
- Diarising appointments, and typing/spreadsheets/secretarial support as required by the home manager, or their deputy in the mangers absence
- The general organisation and day to day operation of the administration office as required by the manager. To ensure a systematic approach to all procedures within the office is in place, for example filing systems, etc.
- Personnel issues such as collection and summary of monthly timesheets, ensuring that all weekly paperwork is prepared for the Manager/Director. For example sick notes, SMP info, pension and PAYE information.
- Personnel files kept up to date, and in order, ensuring all relevant documentation is received, completed and verified
- All new personnel receive, contracts, job descriptions, induction and training paperwork
- All existing staff receive training updates as per managers directions
- Collection, receipt and banking of monies and completion of company records. Petty cash records and responsibility of cash float. Taking service users to bank as requested or required.
- Records relating to service users expenditure of personal allowances and cash floats
- Records relating to service users contractual matters
- All service users receive4 contracts on arrival and regular updates generates as required.
- Stock control of office supplies and replenishing/ordering of necessary office stationary etc.
- Other duties associated with the administration and accounting procedures as directed by the Manager/Directors that may be reasonably assigned to you.

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: £9.50 per hour
