Job Description: Santa's Grotto Elf **Job Summary**: Join our festive team as a Santa's Grotto Elf and become an essential part of the Christmas magic In this lively, performance-based role, you will welcome families, assist Santa, and ensure every child has a memorable and enchanting visit to the North Pole. Your enthusiasm and cheerfulness will bring the wonder of the festive season to life for all our guests. **Key Responsibilities**: - **Visitor Engagement**: Warmly greet and interact with all children and families in full elf character, spreading joy and festive cheer. - **Grotto Operations**: Help manage the flow of visitors and queues efficiently, ensuring the grotto runs smoothly and on time. - **Assisting Santa**: Work closely with Santa, introducing each child by name and assisting him during visits to make the experience seamless and personal. - **Activities & Storytelling**:Entertain children while they wait. - **Photography and Gifts**: Take photos of families with Santa and ensure each child receives their gift from Santa. - **Environment Maintenance**: Maintain the cleanliness, tidiness, and magical appearance of the grotto and workshop areas. - **Customer Service**: Handle guest inquiries in a polite and calm manner, reporting any issues or concerns to the Grotto Manager or Head Elf. **Required Skills and Qualifications**: - **Personality**: A friendly, outgoing, and joyful personality with the ability to maintain a high level of enthusiasm throughout the day. - **Interaction**: Confidence in interacting and improvising with both adults and children, adapting communication styles to suit all visitors. - **Teamwork**: Excellent teamwork skills and a proactive, "can-do" attitude, willing to help other elves and team members. - **Reliability**: Punctuality and reliability are essential for a busy seasonal event. - **Experience**: Previous experience in customer service, performing, or working with children is highly desirable. - **Flexibility**: Must be flexible and available to work weekends and long hours during the peak festive season. **Working Conditions**: - This is a temporary, seasonal position, with working hours potentially including weekends leading up to Christmas Eve. - An elf costume will be provided, which must be worn at all times while in character. - The role may involve working both indoors and outdoors, requiring adaptability to various weather conditions. **Job Types**: Part-time, Temporary Contract length: 6 weeks Expected hours: 15 - 40 per week **Benefits**: - On-site parking - Store discount Work Location: In person Application deadline: 17/11/2025 Expected start date: 14/11/2025
