We’re looking for a friendly and self-motivated Catering Assistant to join our small team at our Black Rocks Cafe Kiosk along the High Peak Trail.

In this role, you’ll be preparing food and beverages to a high standard, whilst delivering excellent customer service. You’ll oversee the day to day running of the Kiosk through a host of daily tasks, ranging from till operating through to assisting customers with their queries.

To be successful you will need to enjoy working in a customer facing role, be comfortable lone working, have the ability to multitask, and be flexible in terms of working hours.

This is a fixed term contract of 15 hours per week.

**Responsibilities**

In this role, you'll:

- Prepare food and beverages to high standards, complying with all relevant food hygiene and environmental health regulations
- Support with the day to day running of the kiosk, always providing great customer service
- Operate the till, handling cash and card transactions
- Deal with routine customer queries such as menu availability and allergen information
- Carry out general café duties including taking pride in keeping all catering equipment clean and well-maintained
- Run the kiosk in the absence of a duty manager, acting as key holder, and opening and closing the premises

Our Charity is growing, we currently employ 80 people and, crucially, we are supported by over 500 volunteers. We have three delivery teams; Wilder Landscapes, Wilder Communities and Income Generation, supported by the Finance and Resources team. Each team has a Department Lead who reports to the Chief Executive who is responsible for the operations of the Trust and who, in turn, reports to the Board of Trustees which governs the organisation.
