**Overview**:
GB Railfreight are currently looking for experienced Rail Operators to join Felixstowe team.

Working a shift based roster on a nominal 37 hours per week, a Rail Operator will receive a basic salary of £39,873 per annum plus staff benefits - with access to a GB Railfreight Van.

We are looking for a safety focused and dynamic individual to join our team and support GBRf in our commitment to deliver a safe, reliable and best in class service to our customers

**Responsibilities**:
You will be responsible for the safe preparation of rail freight services as well as the operation of a variety of traction at off-network marshalling yards.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous operational/Ground staff/shunting experience within the Freight industry would be essential.
- Experience in a safety critical role would be desirable.
- A technical mindset/problem solving skills would be advantageous.
- Experience gained in a Customer facing environment would be advantageous.
- Able to multi-task and make quick decisions for short notice changes to train plans.
- Ability to work independently and on your own initiative.
- Excellent and clear communication skills to relay important safety messages to your colleagues.
- Safety conscious and ability to remain calm in an event of an emergency situation.
- A great deal of flexibility will be required as there will ve a lot of travel for this role.
- A clean full (manual) UK driving licence is essential.
