**Aim of volunteering**
- To assist the Fundraising Team in helping raise funds by participating in various events throughout the year.
- Raise awareness of the RD&E Charity
- Help to fundraise income to help the charity meet its public benefit aims.
- Assist the fundraisers

**Description**

As fundraising Volunteers you will play a big part in helping us raise funds for various departments within not only the RD&E but community hospitals within the NHS.

You can become involved in fun activities such as:

- Raffle ticket selling
- Attending various events
- Collections
- Bag packing in supermarkets
- Arranging coffee mornings and other charitable events
- Manning the charity stall at RD&E Wonford and other charitable events

We are hoping to work with supermarkets to take advantage of their customer base by holding regular collection weekends and bag packing events across Exeter and the wider community outside their stores.

Not only are you supporting the RD&E charity to raise money to help improve the patient's experience whilst they are in hospital but it is also an exciting time to get involved in the work of the charity.
- By just giving a few hours of your time can make a huge difference. You can work as little as 3 hours to 20 hours per week depending on your commitments, remember, **Fundraising** is always flexible and exciting

We will provide you with all the necessary training and support to carry out your role effectively.

**Expectations**

As an RD&E Fundraising Volunteer, you would usually commit to a minimum of 3 hours’ volunteering every week. You need to successfully complete a mandatory half-day RD&E induction course before starting this role and a local induction with a member of the RD&E Charity team on your first day. You also need to update certain aspects of mandatory training as follows: Data Security and Protection Training yearly and Manual Handling and Fire Training every two years.

**Salary**: £8.19-£12.51 per hour
