Fundraising Events Organiser – Exeter – Volunteer Our fundraising events organisers play an exciting and varied role in helping plan and deliver local fundraising events to raise the vital funds needed to support cats in our care. As a Fundraising Events Organiser, you will coordinate, motivate and support local volunteers to raise funds that keep our branch running—from food and veterinary care to rescue equipment and community outreach. You will lead volunteers in a variety of fundraising events and activities, raising much needed funds for cats in your area. What we’re looking for: a friendly, proactive, and organised person who enjoys bringing people together, has great communication skills and feels confident reaching out to others—whether that’s chatting with local businesses, engaging with supporters at events, or promoting activities online. You should be comfortable representing Cats Protection in your community, share our mission with warmth and enthusiasm, and be reliable and detail‑oriented. Experience in fundraising or event planning is essential. Basic IT and social media skills to promote events, keep simple records, and communicate with volunteers are required. Flexibility is provided to accommodate your own commitments. What the role involves Supporting and encouraging volunteers who want to participate in fundraising activities Working alongside other volunteers and staff to plan fundraising events and activities Co‑ordinating and delegating key tasks prior to and at fundraising events Being responsible for funds raised and ensuring that they are accounted for and banked appropriately Maintaining records from fundraising events Encouraging others to promote a positive and professional image of Cats Protection Ensuring fundraising events and activities comply with Cats Protection policy and guidelines and that local licences and permits are obtained prior to the event We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and levels of experience.
