THE ROLE:
The Head of Editorial Content (HEC) is responsible for leading Glamour UK to create, and champion content that explores the multifaceted experience of womanhood.

As the most senior editorial figure in the UK, the Head of Editorial Content will oversee local content across digital, video, audio and social, and be the market’s key liaison within Glamour’s global network, reporting to and acting as a key strategic partner to the Global Editorial Director. They will develop strategies to drive editorial excellence, audience growth, and revenue, contribute ideas for local and global editorial projects, and bring regional expertise to global projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES- Work closely with Glamour’s global leadership to align and execute the global strategy locally.- Set and oversee Glamour’s digital editorial direction and strategy across site, social and video (aligned with overall global priorities) to grow audience and drive digital revenue.- Manage, lead and inspire the UK Editorial team. Oversee the day to day digital output from Glamour UK, feature in franchises across social, site and video and lead a team of content creators.- Contribute story ideas, talent, and strategic insights to all global editorial projects, including content shared across the digital network.- Work closely with Operations to plan and manage editorial content budgets for digital, video, and social.- Cultivate storytelling and internal talent to drive growth and engagement across all platforms.- Act as the key contact for Glamour’s editorial team within the local operation.- Have a strong commercial understanding, and work hand in hand with the commercial team to identify and collaborate on revenue-generating opportunities that align with Glamour’s style and values.- Act as the in-market brand ambassador, hosting events, providing creative direction and liaising with clients as required.- Nurture talent and foster a transparent, respectful, inclusive, and collaborative team environment.

DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS- A minimum of 10 years of experience leading teams in digital, social, video media - ideally in a global company.- A passion for storytelling and a strong on-camera presence- Strong understanding of the UK market’s beauty, fashion and lifestyle industry.- Extremely strong editorial skills and experience assigning and editing multi-platform content and working to strict deadlines.- Proven leader with the ability to empower, mentor, and inspire a nimble editorial team.- Creative and innovative thinker who will bring inventive new ideas to editorial development.- Robust network of contacts within the beauty and fashion industries as well as relationships with celebrities, activists, artists, and other tastemakers.- Strong business acumen, networking, interpersonal skills, and the ability to guide a team toward achieving business goals.- An entrepreneurial mindset, with a focus on new opportunities for stories and areas for audience growth.- Strong interpersonal communication skills
