Bristol, United Kingdom North Bristol NHS Trust Full time

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our Lung Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist Team. This friendly, supportive team is dedicated to the provision of the best quality patient care.

The Support Worker will work closely with the other Cancer Support Workers, Cancer Services and Macmillan Wellbeing Centre to assist the Cancer Nurse Specialists by providing patient related support and co-ordinating administrative support to help with the smooth running of the service.

This involves supporting patients, both face to face, via telephone and in group sessions, who are referred by the clinical teams as well as those patients/relatives seeking information, advice and support at the Macmillan Wellbeing Centre.

As part of the transformation programme, the Lung Cancer Support Worker will ensure the effective delivery of the living with and beyond cancer agenda (Recovery Package) at North Bristol Trust.

**This will include supporting the team**: in the clinic setting; in carrying out telephone support to patients; undertaking holistic needs assessments and care planning and organising and providing personalised care and support activities for people living with and beyond cancer, the role will also involve carrying out office based duties.
