Our beautiful and historic boutique hotel is located on a sleepy stretch of the River Thames and is less than an 40 minutes from London. Windsor Castle, Legoland Windsor Resort and Marlow are eight miles from Taplow, and Eton is just five miles away.

As a food and beverage assistant at Taplow House Hotel you will deliver service and hospitality in our food and beverage outlets following the departmental standards displaying a courteous attitude towards internal and external guests at all times. This may be in our award winning restaurant one day or serving afternoon tea on our glorious terrace another.

Your main responsibilities will be:

- Taking into account the individual guest’s needs, serving guests in any F&B outlet in a warm, friendly and efficient manner
- Ensuring that all preparation duties are carried out to the outlet standard on applicable shifts
- Ensure that all areas are correctly set up and that they are clean
- Keeps all stations, fridges, cupboards stocked and cleaned
- Ensures that all cleaning duties are carried out according to the schedule
- Ensure that every opportunity is taken to increase sales of food & beverage
- Carries out cellar and storeroom work as required
- Ensure that stock is rotated and checked to prevent wastage
- Ensure that all beverage is poured to outlet and legal standard
- Ensure that all beverage is accounted for in the outlet
- Reporting any Health & Safety hazards to the management
- Ensure all product and service standards are maintained
- To acknowledge guest complaints and report them immediately to the management team.
- To have initiative to enhance guest’s experience
- Acceptance of being part of a team helping and supporting not just the F&B team but other departments when necessary in order to deliver hospitality.
- Ensure that minimum control standards for food and beverage POS procedures are always followed
- Is expected to carry out any reasonable requests given by the management
