International Logistics Coordinator will direct, manage and coordinate logistics and transportation, and support customer service activities through the effective use of third party logistics providers.

Work collaboratively to ensure the safety and security of goods in transit and compliance with legal requirements and established logistics procedures.

Work closely with the Supply Chain and Quality teams and the network of Independent Associated Companies to implement policies and processes that support the overall strategies to manage the supply chain effectively and efficiently.
**Working with MMCL Suppliers and IACs to**:

- Oversee process for creation of packing lists for goods that have been packed for despatch.
- Process the creation of all necessary documents (including commercial invoices) ensuring they are legal and correct, and share as required.
- Liaise with other company departments to ensure good communication of despatch requirements.
**Working with our 3PLs to**:

- Book and coordinate UK and International shipments by air, road and sea.
- Ensure cost effective and timely transport of goods to/from all overseas and UK destinations.
- Approve 3PL invoices for all UK shipments.
- Help implement agreed KPIs.
- Identify opportunities to optimise transport costs.
**Compliance**:

- Ensure all MMCL shipping procedures and relevant documentation meet current export legislation, comply with GDP guidelines and meet narcotic and security requirements
- Ensure the secure storage and easy retrieval of all related shipping documentation.
- Sign on behalf of the company export documentation in accordance with legal requirements.
- Liaise with external bodies on behalf of the company as and when necessary.
- With the MDC team agree understanding of current GxP requirements and compliance and export legislation.
**Procedure Maintenance**
- Periodic review and maintenance of logistics operating procedures in conjunction with Security Operations, Quality and Architecture teams.
- Ensure compliance with statutory duties, regulation and legislation, in particular understand the regulations of controlled drugs in transit and storage

**Qualifications**:
**Minimum Requirement**:

- A-Levels
- Experience within the Logistics function of a Manufacturing or Distribution organisation.
**Preferred Requirement**
- Degree educated or be able to demonstrate significant relevant experience for successful delivery in role
- Professional qualification in are of Logistics/Supply Chain
- Lean Six Sigma - Green or Black Belt
- PMP, Prince2 or other Project Management qualification
- Experience of working in a (bio)pharmaceutical industry
**Knowledge and Skills**
- Knowledge & experience in Logistics / freight forwarding and transformation of Logistics processes
- Ability to work within a team and individually
- Influence the activities of other departments without direct authority over them.
- Able to make decisions independently under time pressure
- Competent using MS Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Oracle ERP user would be desirable
