**Overview**:
**Location: Reading**

Ridge is looking for a Senior Copywriter to produce a range of written materials about our great projects and services, including assisting with bid writing and creating key marketing collateral.- You will be based at our office in Theale, near Reading, with the option to work from home a couple of days a week. Ridge is an agile and flexible company, making use of Microsoft Teams for regular meetings and team briefings. We strive to achieve a good work-life balance and offer the environment for you to grow and develop your skills within this creative role.**Role and Responsibilities**:

- You will work with our multidisciplinary teams to help win work through bid writing, website articles, thought leadership, case studies, marketing materials, award entries and other collateral.You will liaise with our collaborative and supportive central marketing department, which comprises communications, creative and business development teams.**Experience and Skills Required**:

- An ability to structure and tell stories in a concise, coherent, and engaging way.
- Excellent command of the English language, particularly spelling and grammar.
- A strong eye for detail, e.g., consistency of style, punctuation, and format, to an almost pedantic level.
- Experience of translating technical or corporate language into flowing and readily understood English.
- Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise tasks sensibly.
- Ability to use varying tones of voice effectively and appropriately for different formats/audiences.
- Ability to work with and support the development of brand tone of voice.
- Experience of collaboration with others, such as technical experts and graphic designers, to produce high quality materials.
- Experience of conducting journalistic-style interviews to produce written content.
- A healthy dislike of jargon, buzzwords and overused phrases.
- Previous bid writing experience an advantage.
- Knowledge of InDesign a bonus, but not essential.**What We Can Offer**
