Financial Compliance Officer

Our client is an independent national law firm seeking to hire a Financial Compliance Officer to join their team in Bristol. You will be working alongside the accounts team, supporting the COFA and wider finance team to protect the firm from financial non-compliance.
**Key responsibilities will include**:
- Having knowledge of the SRA accounts rules compliance and how they impact finance processes
- Managing the potential breach process, conducting a monthly review, analysing trends, and improving processes and systems to reduce these risks.
- Maintaining relationships with teams around the firm in order to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Reporting and recording breaches
- Identifying residual balances and reconciling transactions on client matters
- Reviewing interactive open matters to ensure they are closed and funds are returned to clients
- Updating the firm's policies and SRA Accounts Rules manuals
- Running the annual SRA Accounts Rules audit
- Delivering training to the firm on compliance awareness and key issues/trends
- Overseeing the bank reconciliation process
**Salary**: Up to £35,000.00 per year
