Key Duties;
- Provide incident response support / investigation, including mitigating actions to contain activity and facilitating forensics analysis when necessary.
- Assist the Security Team and support the creation of business continuity/disaster recovery plans.
- Conduct monitoring and intrusion detection analysis using various computer network defense (CND) tools, such as intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), firewalls, host-based security system (HBSS), Vulnerability scanners etc.
- Reviews alerts and data from sensors (3rd Party) and documents formal, technical incident reports.
- Implementing security policies and procedures.
- Maintain a risk register.
- Develop and maintain documentation for security systems and procedures.
- Patch management and/or risk mitigation of systems.
- Perform security audits to ensure operational security.
- Liaise with and become the point of contact for the 3rd party SOC/SIEM.
- Compliance with relevant security legislation including, but not limited to, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018, Data Protection Act 2018, Computer Misuse Act

**Qualifications**
- Hold or working towards an entry Security certification. (Security+ / CyberOps etc.)
- Hold or working towards ITIL certification (Foundation level)
- Worked in similar role for 1 year+
- An understanding of virtualisation platforms.
- An understanding of Cloud infrastructure.
- An understanding of ITIL processes and change management.
- Methodical approach to problem diagnosis and troubleshooting.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business.
- Willingness to learn new technical skills.

This role provides an excellent pathway into the I.T. Security career track, with opportunities to assist & shape various Security projects within the group and to progress through to Security Analyst.
