**About the role**:
Supervising of the authorities catering provision with the support of an Area Manager within a given geographical area

**What you will do**:
1. To supervise, promote and deliver the catering service within the post holder’s area by utilizing the most cost effective, safe and efficient methods of work and maximizing resources. Checking on site compliance of procedures for ordering, storage of supplies, record keeping to HACCP policies and good hygiene practices. Checking on staff and accident site records / paperwork. Assist with the selection, recruitment and retention of new employees and carry out Crimanal Records Bureau (CRB) paperwork, pre-employment. Ensure the works are carried out efficiently and accurately monitored in liaison with customers, the food safety act and all nutritional standards
2. Supervise onsite catering and export provisions ensuring menu compliance and portion control. Provide advice and guidance to the cook in charges and operational employees. Assist in the Supervision/training of all kitchen employees. Deliver workplace talks to operational employees. Arrange cover or replacement of employees during times of absence. Assist with the reviewing
3. To assist the Area Catering Manager to deliver the services within the set budget. Assist with the preparation of menus and costing associated with the catering service
4. To assist the Area Catering Manager resolve issues / complaints ensuring prompt rectification of substantiated complaints and maintain good customer relations. Assist with investigations in line with Council policies and procedures
5. To liaise with the customers as required. Actively promote the catering service
6. Attend group catering meetings

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £27,803.00-£29,777.00 per year
