**Transport Planner**Salary**:30K - 36K DOE
**Role Type**: Permanent
**Working hours**: Monday to Friday 8am - 5.15pm + Alternative Saturdays 8am - 11.30am
**The role**:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced planner to join our team in Leicestershire. You will be joining a vibrant and friendly team who have a wealth of experience, and are market leaders in what they do.
**What will I be doing when I start work as the transport planner?**:

- Supporting the Distribution Supervisor to ensure all loads are collated accurately, and in full, in advance of vehicle loading.
- Processing vehicle manifests once loading accuracy is confirmed
- Supporting the Distribution Supervisor in ensuring all deliveries are planned in advance of the customer required date
- Ensuring all customers are contacted in advance of delivery to confirm receipt availability
- Maintaining all POD records within the system for traceability
- Working alongside 3rd party transport services to ensure we receive full POD’s
- Ensuring all documentation and information is accurate for every order movement (deputising for the transport planner)

- Experience of merchant transport planning
- Continuous Improvement activities, including Root Cause Problem Solving
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills and effective use of IT systems including Office suite and BisTrack.
