**Vibrance** has several exciting opportunities for **Activity Workers** to join our team in**Waltham Forest, London**. You will join us on a **full-time, permanent** basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of **£17,494- £18,904 per annum**plus benefits.

As an **Activity Worker,**you willprovide high-quality community and building-based activities to meet the needs of adults with a wide variety of learning disabilities. You will actively support individuals in their chosen activities that couldbe in the base or community.. Service users are at the centre of everything that we do at vibrance and part of your role will be to support individuals to build and promote positive relationships, support individuals to access and participate in their localcommunity and social events and to promote life skills. We are committed to delivering individualised outcome-focused support around health, education, social programmes, and promoting independence.

We are expanding our team and looking for genuinely caring and hands-on, dynamic individuals.

**Responsibilities as our Driver/Activity Workerwill include**:

- Establishing and maintaining a trusting and positive relationship with service user’s
- Building with the Service User a portfolio of community-based activities suitable to their needs and wishes, also involving the service users in sessions to build experience
- Providing a safe environment at all times
- Undertaking personal care and assistingthe Service User to maintain their hygiene and appearance in a dignified manner
- Ensuring that information is shared with all colleagues about the Service User, to promote effective communication and consistency in the team
- Ensuring our Practice reflects the Vibrance Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety policies
- Undertaking training as identified through supervision and appraisal
- Ensuring Health and Safety, emergency producdures and reponses are maintained and dealth with accordingly

**Skills and experience of our idealActivity Worker**:

- Basic understanding of IT skills
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Previously worked in a care setting, paid or voluntary
- Understanding of Risk Assessment/Health and Safety issues
- Ability to work imaginatively and flexibly with Users
- Good organisational and planning skills
- An understanding of the discrimination likely to be faced by people with learning and physical difficulties
- Positive attitude to community integration and a good team player
- Ability to react positively ,sensibly and calmly in a crisis
- Ability to be pro-active and take responsibility for projects
