We're looking for an Information Lifecycle Manager to join the Data Privacy & Information Lifecycle Management team in the Data CoE. Your role is to manage and continuously improve the retention and deletion treatment processes to ensure that Personal Dataand Records are available to support regulatory, legal, and operational needs, and put beyond use when no longer required.
The role will provide a change assurance and SME support service, to ensure that initiatives and business activities meet the ILM policy requirements by design.
The role will collaborate with business, data, risk, legal and system stakeholders from across the Ring-Fenced Bank to reduce residual risk, drive value and preserve our important information assets.
**The difference you'll make.**:

- Analysing information assets and preparing risk visualisations to understand where data is retained, for what reason and what ILM risks are associated with it
- Owning the retention and deletion treatment process, reducing the risk associated with over-retained personal data through compliance with data minimisation and storage limitation principles
- Supporting the Bank's Directorates to ensure personal data is held for no longer than is necessary, and Records are retained in line relevant regulatory, legal and operational policy requirements
- Identifying, assesses, manages, and reports risks, taking proactive personal responsibility for ensuring the Ring Fenced Banking Group is 'doing the right thing' and 'facing into ILM risk through accountability, reporting and remediation'
- Providing a change assurance and SME support service, to ensure that initiatives and business activities meet the ILM policy requirements by design
- Improving the retention and deletion treatments to accommodate emerging best practice, internal destruction holds and regulatory changes to ensure retention and deletion treatments remain effective and appropriate

**What you'll bring.**:

- Experience in support and assuring business activity and change programmes within a complex organisation to ensure the adoption of data, information, or record management obligations
- Experience in supporting business units' in the identification and assessment of data, record or information risks, and development of effective remediation treatments

**It would also be nice for you to have.**:

- Recognised Data, Information or Records Management qualification, or an interest in studying
- Knowledge of ILM related technology, tooling, regulation and legislation
- Experience of designing, implementing, running and continuously improving data, record or information procedures and processes, ideally including data retention and deletion treatments
- Experience of collaborating and influencing large stakeholder networks across IT, business and compliance functions to identify risks and issues, create accountability, drive compliance and develop adequate and effective ILM processes

This is a permanent full-time contract, with flexible location (Bradford, Glasgow or Milton Keynes) and the opportunity to work flexibly between home and office.
