**Change Grow Live, **your aim will be to reduce the harm caused by problematic alcohol consumption for people with alcohol disorders, their friends, family, the city and the wider community. This opportunity is office based, providing advice and support to clients both by telephone and face to face appointments.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has experience in a similar field looking to take the next step in their career.

**Hours**: 37.5hrs per week

**Salary***:£26,393.77 - £30,316.74

**About the role**:

- Contact people who use the confidential alcohol support telephone line to refer themselves and/or others on their behalf and provide appropriate advice and support
- To motivate clients to explore their behaviour and alcohol use and identify positive reasons for making changes in their lives
- Supporting service users from point of entry into service and through their treatment and recovery journey
- Screening clients, conducting assessments, providing harm reduction advice, recovery planning & onward referral
- Delivering evidence based psychosocial interventions utilising motivational interviewing and CBT techniques

**About you**:

- Experience of working with clients affected by alcohol abuse/disorders
- Experience of providing harm reduction advice in relation to alcohol disorders/abuse
- Knowledge and experience of MI and CBT and of utilising these in 1-2-1 and/or group settings with alcohol clients
- Experience of completing assessments and being able to identify specific needs
- Knowledge of the issues experienced by people affected by alcohol abuse/disorders e.g stigma, poverty, discrimination
