Cheadle Glass Systems Ltd is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join the company and become a valuable member of our team, based at our offices in Stockport.

Reporting to the Group Accountant, you will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage all aspects of bookkeeping and associated office administration.

The role requires a self-motivated, hard-working, reliable person who works well both independently as well as being a team player.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Managing the sales and purchase ledgers
- Reconciling all bank accounts, credit card accounts and petty cash
- Reconciling purchase ledger accounts with supplier statements
- Preparing end of month supplier payment runs for management review
- Processing invoices, income and receipts
- Credit card statement analysis and posting
- Maintain petty cash sheet and posting of monthly income and expenditure
- Ensuring VAT is accounted for correctly (note VAT returns and payroll are completed at Head Office)

**Other Duties**
- Expenses checking
- Assisting with Purchase Ordering
- Answering phone calls and helping with holiday cover for the sales department
- Providing expenditure analysis as requested by head office

**Experience required**
- Experience of using Pegasus Opera would be advantageous but not essential
- General bookkeeping
- Credit Control
- Producing customer statements and chasing overdue accounts
- An understanding of VAT and CIS rules

**Job Type**: Full time, 6m probationary period

**Salary**: £24,000 per annum
