Employer Engagement Officer

Futureworks is recruiting for an Employer Engagement Officer to join our employability service.
This job will play a key role in contributing to the UK’s economic recovery as outlined in the UK Government’s ‘A Plan for Job’ strategy. The role will support delivery for the new DWP Restart Scheme, which will give Universal Credit claimants who have been out of work for over 9 months enhanced support to find jobs.
As an Employer Engagement Officer you will have a proven track record in a target driven role. You will source suitable employment opportunities to support people who are long-term unemployed to secure sustainable employment.
You will:
- proactively engage, develop and retain key national and local employer partnerships to support the contractual requirements of the employability programmes.
- be responsible for contributing to the development and implementation the Employer Engagement Strategy.
- be responsible for sourcing high volume employment opportunities that are sustainable, including vacancies and job focused work placements to meet employer and participant needs and aspirations.
- develop existing key employer partnerships regionally to maintain a flow of employment opportunities aligned to customer aspiration and growth sectors.

You must have access to transport as working throughout Pembrokeshire/south Ceredigion will be required.
