Part Time Waste Operative

We have a vacancy for a Waste Operative who will ensure that a quality service is provided to the client, by ensuring that all clients waste is emptied on a daily basis from all office areas

This position would suit a hard-working team player, who takes pride in their work and appearance, capable of showing initiative and is able to think on their feet.

There is Free Gym membership on site and you'll receive a £6.50 per day food subsidy allowance toward a hot meal in the site restaurant

**Main Duties include**:

- Ensure all maintenance issues are reported though the helpdesk ticket system
- Ensure that you use the equipment for a specific task
- Ensure waste storeroom is kept clean
- Check the compactor and baler frequently and action if necessary and ensure the loading bay and storage area is kept clean
- Sort and weigh waste and keep up to date log
- Empty confidential waste on all floors
- Empty recycling bins and shredders on all floors, weigh and keep up to date logs
- Check call outs on an hourly basis
- Aid the drivers with the removal of waste from site
- Ensure all bins are in working order and report when they need repairing or changing
- Ensure all bins in the office area are kept clean
- Ensure all paperwork is completed for each task, with items collected recorded and signed for by the client with a copy handed in at the end of the shift

**You will also need**:

- A general understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
- You should be able to demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate a degree of judgement and discretion when assessing information and issues.
- Someone who is self-motivated with an eye for attention to detail.
