**Position**: 4713 Triage IVA- Children and Young People
**Location**:London, Earls Court/Hybrid
**Hours**: Full time, 37.5. Monday - Friday core hours 9am-5pm, with some weekend and early evening work where required.
**Salary**: £23686.86 per annum, plus London Weighting Allowance £2,800 per annum and travel expenses
**Contract**: Permanent
**The Role**
The Triage IVA- Children and Young People role is based in the Earl’s Court office in London with the opportunity for hybrid working. This position delivers a telephone-based service.
As a Triage Independent Victim Advocate you will be:
- Delivering high-quality, holistic, initial support by telephone to young victims & witnesses of crime.
- Completing initial needs & risk assessments that comprehensively provide immediate & short-term intervention over the telephone.
- Referring clients as appropriate if longer term support is required.
- Providing initial practical & emotional support over the telephone
**About You**
You will need:
- To be approachable, flexible and caring.
- To be a skilled communicator over the telephone, able to show empathy and understanding.
- To be tenacious in support of your clients, helping to resolve problems and issues posed by the criminal justice system.
- To ensure that all services are delivered within a strong safeguarding framework in line with equality and diversity requirements.
- The ability to use data capture systems to ensure appropriate data is gathered to deliver timely and accurate reports as required.
