Based at our Huncoat, Lancashire Site
£11.04 per hour + Company Benefits.
Monday to Thursday 7.00am - 4.00pm, Friday 7.00am - 12.45pm
We currently have a great opportunity for a Team Leader who will be responsible for assisting the Supervisor in running and managing the department and working as a key member of the team ensuring quality and quantity of products are achieved against production demands.
**The Job**
- Lead, motivate and support a dedicated team, collaborating with other key support departments i.e. Maintenance, Continuous Improvements, Engineering, Quality and Resource Planning Manager.
- Ensure the team are aware of the production schedule and deadlines, ensuring all material and labour are available to meet production schedule in full and on time.
- Monitor adherence to production schedule and discuss any shortfall with Department Supervisor.
- Ensure all employees follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), highlighting any Quality issues and initiating corrective measures.
- Continually improve manufacturing/quality as part of the team.
- Adhere to 5s standards and achieve 5S targets.
- Ensure that training matrix for the department is kept up to date.
- Deputise for Supervisor and attend production meetings to communicate production updates and any potential issues.
**The Person**
- Previous supervisory experience (Desirable).
- Good organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Awareness or experience of modern lean manufacturing processes and disciplines.
- A desire to achieve results through team-working
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required.
