The Nuclear Medicine Department at University Hospital Southampton provides a comprehensive diagnostic imaging and molecular radiotherapy (MRT) service to local and regional patients. Our dedicated department staff go above and beyond to ensure patients receive outstanding care and treatment. Our small but committed consultant team always strive to achieve these high standards.
We are at the forefront of innovative practice and have been recognised by the UK nuclear medicine community for this. Our vision is to be a leading UK centre. This is a vital role in our department to support the existing consultants and also other department staff members.

- Take a shared responsibility for the day to day running of the nuclear medicine department. This includes diagnostic nuclear medicine and PET CT scans, in/out patient and day case molecular radiotherapies and research support.
- Engage directly with at least 2 MDTs according to expertise and interest.
- Be encouraged to develop new techniques/spheres of interest, either within the current UHS nuclear medicine practice or beyond it
- Supervise and educate Radiology Trainees, with the possibility of undergraduate involvement and/or teaching other specialties as needed
