Customer Service Advisor/laboratory Assistant

**The Opportunity**
We are seeking a new team member to support our Customer Service and Specimen Reception departments, ensuring that our clients receive exceptional support and service, from their initial enquiry's through to the testing process and beyond.

This will be an excellent opportunity to gain experience of working within a Laboratory setting amongst supportive and highly talented colleagues. We are a friendly veterinary diagnostic laboratory that places a strong emphasis on client care and service quality. We provide diagnostic services in clinical pathology, biochemistry, haematology, microbiology and molecular biology.

Our clients are predominantly first opinion companion animal clinics within the Medivet Group, and the workload is interesting and varied.

The role is a full-time, permanent role, at our lab in Watford, Hertfordshire.

The working pattern is a rotating roster alternating Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday, covering 37.5 hours per week, with an unpaid hour for lunch.

**Role Accountabilities**
As a Customer Service Advisor your primary goal is to resolve all customer queries in a timely and friendly manner, and ensure that customers are satisfied.

Some main duties and responsibilities include:

- Providing information about new and existing testing and services
- Maintaining customer relations with clients and supporting onboarding of new clients.
- Performing administrative tasks
- Responding to customer complaints or issues
- Maintaining an accurate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database by entering and updating client information
- Referring problematic issues that they cannot solve to management

Within the laboratory you will be responsible for:

- The receipt and pre-analytics processing of samples
- Labelling of specimens
- Preparation of samples for testing
- Accurate data entry
- Timely referral of external tests

**Your Skills and Experience**
- Experience within a customer service role
- Scientific/Laboratory experience or knowledge from an academic or industrial setting would be beneficial, but is not essential.
- A positive can-do friendly attitude
- Commitment to deliver high levels of customer service
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good attention to detail
