**Process Owner - Hybrid working pattern - Peterlee - £50,000 to £55,000 per annum plus benefits** **Role Overview** The Process Owner is responsible for championing and bringing to life, the business's value of **"Making Things Simpler-er."** The role holder will work closely with all business areas to identify and implement initiatives that make things simpler-er for customers. They will lead staff engagement around this value and build a vision for what Making Things Simpler-er actually means for the business's future. As a member of the operations directorate, you will be reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer. You will have the opportunity to participate in meetings with the Board of Directors, Senior Management Team and other departments of the business to identify broad changes that impact multiple business areas. The role holder will work closely with all of the business's continuous improvement teams and with the customer experience team to ensure there is a coherent joined up approach to making things simpler-er for customers. They must be able to recognise the value of the inefficiencies identified and produce financial metrics that show not only the cost of making recommended improvements agreed with the process owner, but the cost over time of NOT making them. The role will be self-funding, and the improvements sighted should cover the salary of the role holder. This role would suit someone with a seasoned business process analysis, product, data analysis or customer experience background who is used to working independently in a highly unstructured manner. They should be curious, detail orientated, and organised, have a good eye for spotting inefficiency and understanding its route cause through their probing nature and strong data analysis skills. The post holder must be highly personable and have a cooperative, supportive nature so that they do not alienate process owners. Inversely, the nature of the role requires a robust and resilient character to navigate potential resistance in a collaborative fashion. There will be a need to ‘roll up sleeves’ and do the job you are making simpler-er, you’ll have no team, so it’s up to you to make it happen You’ll understand what needs to be done by working with and in the relevant team, gaining first-hand experience. There is an expectation that you are able to pick up the phone to a customer, write and process correspondence or even make the tea if it is going to save the company money **Core Responsibilities**: - Ensure that the salary of the role is returned to the business annually through making efficiency improvements. - Act as a leader within the business in terms of championing the value. - Champion and implement initiatives that make things simpler-er for customers - Recognize inefficiencies and produce financial metrics for making improvements. - Identify and trace route causes of inefficiency to source. - Monitor and report on initiatives that are yet to be implemented. - Develop and implement an approach methodology for identification of inefficiency. - Proactively embed as a team member when identifying inefficiency. - Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations when changing or recommending change. - Perform periodic audits of business processes to fine tune. - Develop training materials for staff on driving efficiency. **What we look for**: - Evidence of leading and implementing change projects at scale. - Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of software design, advanced Excel and PowerBI - Proven project management skills. - Previous experience in a customer service environment. - Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and assess risks, threats, patterns and trends. - Experiences in analysing large data sets. - Experience in carrying out own investigations and presenting findings to the board of directors. **The Package**: - Salary between £50,000 and £55,000 per annum - Ongoing support, development and training - Exposure to the Board of Directors and all parts of a growing business - 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays - Discounts on gym memberships - Healthcare plan - Flexitime - Free parking - Hybrid working
