**Job description**

Are you an experienced Support Worker looking for a career change?

**Job Role -**
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and toileting.
- To understand the care and support of the Client
- To encourage the independence and motivation of the Client.
- To ensure as safe as possible the living environment for the Client. whilst respecting the clients choices.
- To help the client maintain contact with their family and friends.
- To use Manual Handling equipment safely and correctly.
- To assist clients with their medication at the agreed level of support and as detailed in their medication care needs assessment.
- To prepare food and drink for the client, being aware of the clients choice, likes/dislikes, nutritional needs and cultural requirements.
- To regularly read care and support plans, acknowledging changes.
**Skills Required -**
- GCSEs or equivalent, but not necessary.
- Certification or training in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) desirable, but not essential.
- Training in safe patient handling and movement desirable, but not essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures
