Contract: Fixed Term or Secondment for 12 Months

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Officer, to work within the Business Support Team in the Adult Disability Service.

You will provide administrative support to Service Link Officers to investigate and resolve complex financial queries relating to service user care charges in line with current government legislation. Working as part of a team you will share the responsibilityof carrying out early prevention work to ensure income generation and resolve debt recovery issues.

Responsibilities in the role will include conducting pre-employment checks to ensure compliance, and advertising job roles on our job platforms.

You will also be highly motivated, enthusiastic and organized to provide administrative support to the Business Support Team. Duties will include but not limited to:

- Using IT systems such as Microsoft Office and our inhouse client database
- Receiving and making telephone calls
- Providing support to Service Link Officers in early debt prevention.
- Recovering Early debt and finance queries.
- Financial Queries and Updating Database.
- Data Entry
- Communicate both verbally and in writing to Service Users
- Managing Calendars
- Other ad-hoc administrative duties

We’ll need you to have a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service and be able to ensure work is carried out to a high standard within agreed KPIs.

You will need to be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, proactive with the ability to change your approach dependent on the audience. This is vital given you will have regular contact with service users and their families as well as partnershipagencies, such as Care Providers and the NHS. You will also need to have experience in resolving debt and finance queries as well as being competent in Microsoft packages.
