We have an exciting opportunity for a Administrative Coordinator to provide administrative support to the Rethink Somerset Alliance Team.

You will be based in Somerset and work full time, 35 hours per week on a permanent contract with a salary of £22,407.40 to £25,690.03 per annum.

Our service

Somerset Mental Health Alliance is a new alliance of charities has been formed to develop a bold new community-based mental health support service for Somerset residents and Rethink Mental Illness is the lead accountable body for this alliance.

The shared ambition for the Somerset Mental Health Alliance is to ensure that people living with mental illness get the right support at the right time. As well as reducing waiting times for clinical services, it aims to ensure that people can live a full life in their community, accessing housing, jobs or volunteering opportunities, community activities and physical exercise, to help support and improve their wellbeing and quality of life.

What you will be doing

As an administrative co-ordinator working for Rethink Mental Illness, you will be responsible for working closely with the Programme Manager, Head of NHS Collaboration, the Co-Production Manager and others working on the project.

**Key responsibilities of the role include**:
Building relationships with partners and those involved in our work, providing them with support, guidance, information & resources as required.

Providing an administrative support function for events, workshops and meetings, including convening meetings, booking rooms and taking and distributing notes.

Inputting to and maintain effective filing systems, both electronic and manual.

Managing appointments and arrange travel and hotel bookings

Liaising with external agencies and suppliers to order goods and services.

What we are looking for

**You’ll have the essentials covered**:
Must be able to demonstrate behaviours consistent with the values of the Charity

Good standard of education with English and Maths at GCSE level or equivalent Diploma relevant to post

Experience of working in a busy customer focused administrative environment

Experience of servicing meetings, including taking minutes and preparing reports

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including word, excel, powerpoint, outlook and teams

Good verbal & written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail

Able to work effectively as part of a team with flexible approach to undertaking a wider variety of tasks. Ability to plan / prioritise own work

The initiative and enthusiasm to take part in all aspects of a busy department ensuring that a high, professional standard of work is maintained in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere

**You may also have**:
NVQ competencies in Administration level 3 or equivalent such as OCR/RSA III

Qualification in the use of software e.g ECDL

Experience of supporting and arranging events/workshops

Lived experience and/or a good understanding of mental illness and its impact on individuals and families

Experience of managing difficult conversations

Proactive, shows initiative and innovation in proposing and carrying out new administrative procedures
