**More About the Assistant Depot SupervisorRole**: Our Assistant Depot Supervisor will ensure that our warehouse operation always runs smoothly and that each one of our customers receives their appliance on time, every time. You will be responsible for ensuring that our delivery and installation runs areprepped to go out each morning and supported via tracking any issues which may arise throughout the day. A hands-on approach is required to support our self-loading depot and you will ensure that all our vehicles are road worthy, legal and compliant whilst providing on-going support to our Drivers, Quality and People teams. - Salary: £21,500 - £24,000 per annum - Hours: 5 on 3 off, 5 on 2 off shift pattern, working 13:00pm-22:00pm (40 hours per week) - Job Type: Full time and permanent contract - Location: Compound 56, Greendale Business Park, Woodbury, Salterton **Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing As A Assistant Depot Supervisor**: - Complete in-house reports for the Depot Manager daily - Check that all vehicles leaving the depot are secure and meet required transport legislation requirements - Ensure that all members of the team both employed and self-employed are complying with the training that they have received - Complete alcohol testing when required - Communicate with our Drivers, handling any queries efficiently and in a professional manner - Transport Debriefing duties of vehicles returning from delivery and installation runs - Take responsibility for managing the transhipping and reloads **A Few Things About Our Assistant Depot Supervisor**: - Understand transport legislation and logistics operation - Able to build good relationships with people even when under pressure - Challenge any vehicle issues or damages with our Drivers - Able to make decisions in the absence of the Depot Manager to drive performance and service - React quickly to information and be able to solve problems independently - Good communication skills both verbally and written - Competent use of Microsoft, particularly Excel **Why Choose AO**: Our people are our superpower, and that’s no accident.
