You will be the main point ofcontact for our Drivers and be responsible for the effective management of the loading of our vehicles, de-briefing our vehicles and the delivery of appliances **Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing As OurDepot Supervisor**: As the Depot Day Supervisor, you will assist with the daily operations of the depot to ensure that they run efficiently at all times. You will be driven towards achieving high standards of quality and driving our performance by paying careful attention tothe service we deliver. You will supervise the loading and unloading of our appliances, aiming to ensure every product is ready for delivery in first class condition to each of our customers. You will ensure all our vehicles are road worthy, legal and compliantwith Transport legislation and provide ongoing support to our Drivers to ensure deliveries are completed on time. You will work alongside our Quality and People teams to ensure that the depot and team are supported in delivering our values and reaching ourtargets. Our customer is at the heart of everything we do and through your support to the Depot Manager, your colleagues and the Drivers, you will be a part of making that happen. - Checking that all vehicles leaving the depot are secure and meet required transport legislation requirements - Monitoring delivery performance throughout the day - Supporting training for new starters to include Safe Systems of Work and Health and Safety - Ensuring that all employees are complying with the training that they have received to provide a safe working environment for everyone - Briefing the team daily/weekly on key priorities and workload - Supervising the team and allocating tasks and priorities - Completing alcohol testing when required - Completing minor repairs to vehicles and arranging to service as required - Communicating with our Drivers, handling any queries efficiently and in a professional manner - Taking responsibility for managing the transhipping and reloads **A Few Things About OurDepot Supervisor**: - Understanding of transport legislation and logistics operation - The ability to build lasting, effective relationships with people around you even under pressure and in difficult situations - Challenge any vehicle issues or damages with our Drivers - The ability to make decisions in the absence of the Depot Manager to drive performance and service - React quickly to information, and can find solutions to any issues independently - Good communication skills both verbally and written - Competent use of Microsoft, particularly Excel **Why Choose AO**: Our people are our superpower, and that’s no accident.
