**The Role**:
- This could work for a Fee Earner/Paralegal/handler wanting team leader experience who has worked in the industry now wanting to expand and manage a team.
- Ideally coming from an area where you have dealt with personal injury / employers’ liability as you would have to have the knowledge to accept and reject cases.
- Team player
- to jump in on the calls when times get busy.
- **Shift pattern**:
- Full-time based on 37.5 hours per week, working varying shift patterns which will encompass core and non-core operating hours, on a rota that is shared with at least 1 months’ notice.
- _Core operating hours will consist of a 7.5 hour working day with shift patterns varying for different start and finish times between the hours of 8am and 6.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am and 6pm on Fridays._
- Non-core operating hours will consist of a 7.5 hour working day with shift patterns varying for different start and finish times between the hours of 8am and 8pm between Monday to Friday plus x2 5.5-hour days on either a Saturday or a Sunday.
- Get a day off in Lieu during the week.
- The working pattern will involve a hybrid working arrangement and the potential for up to 2 days per week to be worked remotely.
- All non-core operating hours shifts will be worked remotely.
- **Training Period**:
- 6 weeks - 10am till 6.30pm Monday to Friday
- First 2 weeks based in office and then it will move to hybrid on 3rd week - 3 days in office, 2 days at home
- Move to 5 out 7-day shift pattern, variable shift pattern
- Assist clients with the presentation of their insurance claims
- Demonstrate a superior level of claims knowledge in relevant classes of business
- Negotiate and obtain the optimum settlement of claims, liaising with claimants, insurers and loss adjusters, as necessary
- Actively pursue insurers or their suppliers to ensure early policy coverage agreement leading to swift claim resolution.
- Proactively manage a portfolio of claims to ensure that these are resolved as quickly as possible and managed to the very highest technical standard
- Escalate matters as required within Insurers and/or their suppliers in a timely way to ensure that an early and satisfactory solution is found for clients. Recognising the need to escalate to the Claims Relationship Manager where appropriate
- Carry out all activities in the most efficient and cost-effective manner without compromising on quality or client satisfaction
- Demonstrate the ability to keep own work clearly prioritised and actioned within service standard commitments
- Demonstrate the ability to actively support the broader Claims team to deliver on the service standard commitments
- Recognise urgent matters and prioritise and action them appropriately
- Escalate, by way of referral, all claims outside of your personal authority, any complaints or suggestions that the organisation has failed to deliver an effective service or any other matter where support is required.
- Provide mentoring and support to less experienced members of staff

- Should be currently working in the legal services industry and have an in-depth knowledge of the claims industry
- Previous call handling experience and supervising/managing others, including coaching and mentoring in a telephone-based customer services team within a legal and target driven environment
- Experience of delivering agreed values and objectives
- Technically competent in assessing new client enquiries to ensure that they are processed correctly
- Familiar with the role and regulations of an authorised Claims Management Company
- Familiar with leading teams in a remote working environment
