**Job description**

Hello, I’m Rupert and I am the owner/manager/operator of this business and you’ll be working with me and my awesome assistant Sarah, on a daily basis. You’ll need to know what Sarah and I know and have a keen eye for detail.

We’re looking for someone to take care of the laundry side of the business as well as serving customers, operate a specialist dry cleaning till and give customers advice on cleaning procedures; our customers really appreciate our knowledge and understanding. We’re very busy at the moment but it does come in waves. During quiet times you’ll need to show initiative and keep the shop looking clean and tidy.

It’s a very well organised system that should be strictly adhered to; getting the right items back to the right customer is the centre of the dry cleaning and laundry universe Attention to detail is very important, we pride ourselves in producing quality results, our customers are very used to that

I’m looking for someone to support me but primarily to perform their own tasks, unmanaged. The buck stops with me of course but I’m happier being part of a team than overseeing one.

Ensuring orders are laundered and ironed in good time is the central responsibility of this role. Items like sheets and shirts are the mainstay of what you’ll be doing so you’ll need to ‘enjoy’ ironing

One of the more important considerations is that I need my assistant to be extremely reliable. The shop being open during advertised times is crucial to the continued success of my business. I need someone to come to work, plague or famine. Missing a shift for a runny nose or an upset tummy will not serve the needs of this role, so the successful applicant will need a strong constitution I’ve had half a day off in 3 years

Part-time hours: 10 per week

**Salary**: From £11.00 per hour
