Orka Financial is working with a highly acquisitive PLC based in High Wycombe. The finance function is key to providing the business with best in class informational and transactional support, to further enable our fast moving, market leading products toexpand our reach.
The role available takes full responsibility for daily operations of the finance department, having 2 direct reports, and will provide key support to the Finance Director. This role would suit a qualified accountant, looking to understand a global manufacturingbusiness and develop their experience within a role. The company is multi-jurisdictional, multi-currency and multi-faceted.

**Responsibilities**:

- Production of month end management accounts in a timely manner, including review with stakeholders across the business
- Manage full month end process
- Assisting with forecasting and preparation of budgets
- Reconciliation of ledger accounts including maintaining a complete an accurate general ledger
- Intercompany reconciliations and transfer pricing analyses
- Posting of month end journals
- Review of accruals and prepayments
- Variance analysis as well as review of balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with audits
- Direct and indirect tax calculations and compliance (including R&D tax credits, UK/EU Vat returns, deferred and current tax)
- Assisting with key projects/initiatives
- Providing analysis of the ledgers & P&L - overheads, DSO, overdues, etc
- Managing AP function to ensure timely payment and strong payment reporting
- Managing AR function to ensure timely collection and strong receivables reporting
- Managing cash balance, cashflows and FX exposures
- Oversee the monthly payroll process and calculation of commissions
- Managing month end ledger reconciliations
- Ready to liaise with the wider business acting as a finance representative for upcoming projects
- Able to liaise with internal and external auditors as required
- Set up and enforce internal controls
- Review financially integrated systems and develop efficiencies where possible

**Profile**:

- ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Management experience
- Good technical knowledge of core accountancy practice and standards
- Ability to manage time and prioritise tasks
- Strong Excel skills including pivots, vlookups, sumifs etc.
- Strong system skills including ERP knowledge and integration experience
- Clear and effective communication skills
- A team player focused on achieving departmental/project goals

**Salary**:
£45,000 - £55,000 + benefits
