**Business Development Support Consultant**

**Salary**:£28-31k, depending on experience, plus bonus and benefits
**Contract**:Permanent; immediate start

We are looking for a Business Development Support Consultant to support the operation of the Business Development (Bus Dev) area.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference within a growing organisation, while taking significant responsibility and learning about how a medium-sized business operates.

**Key tasks & responsibilities**

The Bus Dev area consists of three functions: Client Account Management (CAM), Proposition & Practice Area (PPA) and Marketing. You will support each these functions and the wider area. Examples of tasks involved are:

- Marketing function support_
- Client mailer production: project management; upload articles to website; liaise with distribution partner; analyse engagement
- Social media support: post content; analyse engagement
- Advertising: creative input into adverts; manage campaigns; analyse effectiveness
- Custodianship of marketing library / guidelines
- Website administration / analytics
- Competitor research
- CAM support_
- Coordinate proposals: liaise with business; draft proposals; project management
- Support creation and maintenance of account plans: draft / update CAM plans; manage individual plans
- Lead generation management: coordinate lead gen activities; develop communication messages; client / contact research; manage relationship with external lead gen partner; monitor campaign progress
- Coordinate Statement of Work production: liaise with business; create drafts; project management
- PPA function support_
- Support proposition owners, including horizon scanning and case study production
- Bus Dev area support_
- Bus Dev area meeting coordination
- Development / delivery of management information
- Data optimisation and reporting from our CRM system
- Project management of strategic plans

**What we need from you**
- Important_
- Well-organised, able to prioritise and manage own workload, including at times working without supervision
- Self-confident, able to make decisions on own where appropriate, but also recognise where input from senior colleagues is required
- Numerate and analytical, with excellent attention to detail
- Conscientious, with a positive, pragmatic attitude and willingness to get stuck in
- Quick learner able to demonstrate initiative and follow ideas through to completion
- Excellent communicator (written and verbal), with strong people / interpersonal skills
- Good general IT skills, in particular Word and Excel
- Educated to degree level, or with relevant experience in a similar role
- Desirable_
- Able to understand the big picture as well as the detail
- More developed IT skills, eg advanced Excel, coding or CRM admin
- Project management experience
