**The Role**:
The Deputy Academic Registrar is key in directly supporting the Academic Registrar in the delivery of the University’s strategic plans for education and the student experience, and its commitment to advancing academic quality excellence within the Faculties and Schools.
- To be responsible, University-wide, for the leadership of the development and delivery of academic quality standards for the delivery of our courses and programmes, and providing enhancement and innovation in quality standards across undergraduate, postgraduate taught and postgraduate research provision, including degree apprenticeships and collaborative provision.
- To have responsibility for ensuring the effective and efficient operation, performance, and continuous improvement, of the provision of academic quality standards, academic regulations and operation and running of the formal university academic committees.
- To lead with the Academic Registrar and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Education) in the development, implementation and ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the Access and Participation Plan (APP) and Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).
- To lead quality and standards related external audits and reviews.

To lead a highly developed team of staff located both centrally and dispersed in teams across the institution, ensuring a high standard of institution-wide compliance with the academic regulatory and legal framework in which the University operates.
