Abodus Student Living are looking for a housekeeper to be part of a small team to provide a clean, safe and functioning environment for residents, staff and general public, looking after both internal and external facilities. Assist the facilities team in delivering a secure and compliant property through proactive reporting of problems/faults.

Where appropriate attend to soft maintenance requests, key control, ground maintenance, cleaning and first line emergency response whilst ensuring key documentation is maintained.

**QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING**:
It is **desirable** that the postholder has:

- Maintain strict controls on hazardous materials, in storage and in use, and observes all COSHH regulations and manufacturer’s instructions.
- Ensure that energy, resources and equipment are used in a correct, safe and economical manner in accordance with Company policies and legal requirements.
- Ensure that all accidents and near misses are recorded appropriately.
- Deal with soft maintenance requests.

**EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE**:
It is **essential** that the postholder has:

- Verbal and written communication
- Effective interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills are essential
- Able to work accurately and effectively under pressure
- To use and act on own initiative without instruction or direction.
- Continually strives to improve knowledge, skills and abilities to produce the best results

**SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:
It is **essentia**l that the postholder has:

- A flexible and positive approach to dealing with an unpredictable work pattern.
- You must have a flexible approach to work with a ‘can do’ attitude and be willing to workdays and weekends including some public holidays as required.
- Able to respond to fire alarms or ad hoc emergency situations while on site
- Ability to work accurately and effectively under pressure.
- Take pride and ownership of tasks and responsibilities
- Effective personal management to ensure all tasks are completed within the expected timeframe.
- To be able to use and act on own initiative without instruction or direction.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16 per week

**Salary**: £9,068.80 per year
