Landscape Operative

_**What is the role?**_
The environment department will provide a specialist service focused on ensuring that the environments outside our customer homes (including communal areas) are clean and safe. Outside our residential portfolio we have a substantial portfolio of related assets including open spaces, communal gardens, trees, paths, communal areas in flatted blocks, bin stores etc. This portfolio can have a profound effect on the quality of life for customers who rent or lease homes and maintaining the environment around these homes is a key part of our customer service offer.
As a grounds maintenance operative, you will play a role in ensuring that we provide a high-quality cost-effective grounds maintenance service, responding to seasonal demands and the needs of customers, all in line with agreed standards.
- **What will you be doing here?**_
- You will support the delivery of high-quality grounds maintenance across our operating area looking after our open spaces and associated planted areas (not trees).
- You will ensure that grounds maintenance is undertaken in accordance with agreed standards. This includes but is not limited to:
- Strimming
- Mowing
- Hedge cutting
- Litter picking
- Weeding
- Pruning
- Leaf Clearing
- You will maintain and use vehicles, plant and equipment in a safe manner.
- You will undertake gritting/salt spreading/snow clearance duties during periods of adverse weather.
- You will look be open to look at ways to improve the grounds maintenance customer experience.
- You will positively support activities that help promote our new culture and behaviours.

- Able to communicate in an appropriate and diplomatic manner with a range of customers and colleagues.
- Experience in day to day grounds maintenance including use of relevant vehicles, plant and equipment.
- Works with high levels of integrity and respect.

- Driving licence
