Happy Days Nursery in Salisbury is seeking a level 3 qualified Senior Room Supervisor to join their team, working on a full time capacity.

As Senior Room Supervisor you will play a vital role in helping us inspire the future for our children, by offering them the very best care and education using our unique curriculum “Where Children Shine” you will also support your room based colleagues, overseeing the day to day running of your allocated nursery room.

Your roles and responsibilities as Senior Room Supervisor would include

- Supporting the effective running on the nursery by being organised, and have the ability to plan and prioritise your work
- Being positive, confident and honest

- Holding a recognised level 3 qualification in childcare
- Supporting, mentoring and coaching colleagues, through induction, supervision and appraisal
- Overseeing the day to day running of the nursery in the absence of the Manager and/or Deputy Manager

- Being a “key person” for a group of children, ensuring that their care and development needs are being met at all times
- Using our unique “Where Children Shine” curriculum to observe, plan and assess children’s learning opportunities
- Understanding and implementing safeguarding, health and safety and welfare requirement policies and practices
- Leading the quality delivery in your allocated room
- Having a firm understanding of OFSTED requirements

- Acting as mentor to apprentices and other colleagues
