Overview:
Redgate is entering an exciting phase of its Data strategy implementation with investment into a cloud strategy as well as building data solutions for the future. With this move to cloud, there will be opportunities to be trained in and leverage new technologies related to AI and ML that will allow us to make a real difference in forecasting and predictive modelling.
We are looking for a Data Specialist to join our central CORE Data team to support the generation of insights from information at the right time to help decision makers drive actions that make a positive impact on the business.
A Data Specialist at Redgate must be curious, with a passion for data and the ability to transform data into insights and be able to support stakeholders in making good business decisions based on good quality data.
It is an exciting time to join the team as we are embarking on changes to the way we work and are looking for someone to support us in delivering real value to the wider business.
**What makes you Red Gate’s next Data Specialist?**
- Excellent SQL skills
- Highly proficient in a Business Intelligence tool (ideally Microsoft Power BI)
- Having exceptional problem-solving ability and investigative skills
- Outstanding numerical and analytical skills (including MS Excel)
- Experience of working in an Agile approach
- Engaging well with customers
- Successfully collaborating with people in technical roles
- Managing and prioritising your own workload
- Demonstrating a commercial awareness of Redgate’s business
- Being an excellent communicator, especially of technical content
- A willingness to work independently or as part of a team to tackle complex problems
- Knowledge of data modelling
- Experience of the following technologies and concepts would be a significant advantage -data literacy, RDBMS, data integration, SSIS, SSAS, OLAP, forecasting, predictive modelling, clustering

- Salary is circa £40k - £55k, depending on experience
- You will work about 40 hours a week, with flexible work time
