The Community Recovery Navigation and HOPE teams are a vital part of Barnsley Recovery Steps, a service dedicated to providing exceptional support to people using substances across Barnsley. Two exciting opportunities have arisen within the Recovery Navigation and HOPE teams for a role as a lead practitioner. If you are passionate about supporting people to make informed choices, changes to their substance use, provide robust harm reduction interventions in a variety of locations and work towards improving health inequalities.

Barnsley Recovery Steps offer a comprehensive range of interventions and support, including detox and prescribing, one-to-one and group sessions, parenting and relationship skills, family and carer support, training and education, outreach, partner agency work and facilitation to peer support. **About the role**
As the Lead Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in supporting and providing guidance and line management to our dedicated staff. You will also carry a small caseload of clients, engaging in case management, multi-agency collaboration, data analysis, and coordination of group work delivery. This is an on-site role; no hybrid working options are available. This role will require you to work across both sites, depending on capacity and need.

**As a Lead Practitioner, you will be responsible for**:

- Supporting the team and Area Managers
- Providing guidance and line management to staff members
- Carrying a small caseload of clients, offering case management and support ( If necessary)
- Fostering collaboration with multiple agencies to enhance service delivery
- Analysing data and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices
- Coordinating the delivery of group work sessions, outreach and targeted pieces of work to improve health inequalities within Barnsley.
- Adhering to national guidelines and provide the development of staff to provide exceptional care for people who use our service.
- Supporting the team to achieve all KPI’s and targets.

**Please note the shift pattern is usually Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm.**_Some late nights and weekends may be required to support service delivery._**

**About you**:

- Experience in substance misuse service is beneficial
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or above or equivalent)
- Good written and verbal, communications skills.
- Sound IT skills including knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience of using systm1 is desirable
- Previous line management experience is desirable although not essential as the service look to provide an excellent standard of training and support to develop staff within their roles.
- A passion to make a positive difference and be hardworking and flexible to support staff and people who use our service.
