Human Factors Engineer

The One Group are working with a leading independent Aerospace and Defence company who deliver innovative and excellent engineering, support solutions and services to customers in air, on land and at sea.
They are seeking a Human Factors Engineer to join their reputable business on a permanent basis. My client employs over 6000 people and have a turnover more than £2.7 billion.
The company specialise in conversions and modifications of military and business aircraft and their capabilities include engineering design, manufacture, and testing.
The day-to-day responsibilities of the Human Factors Engineer include:
- Undertake Human Factors tasks in accordance with Def Stan 00-251 and Mil Standard 1472F
- Identify areas of poor ergonomics in the design and recommend improvement
- Recommend alternative solutions to ensure the product is safe to operate and maintain
- Prepare technical reports, presentation, bid support and deal with clients face to face
What we are looking for:
- Ergonomics or Engineering degree
- Knowledge of Military standards
- A strong understanding of Quality Management and Control Systems
- Strong communication skills and PC Literate
