We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Building Control Surveyor within the City of York Council Building Control team.

Workloads are extremely demanding, so a high level of self-motivation is a must together with excellent prioritisation and time management skills. The role is responsible for building control surveyors within the team so you will also need to be an effective communicator and work load co-ordinator. You should hold, a recognized qualification in Building Control, (MRICS or equivalent) and have actively worked in Building Control for at least eight years.

Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
