Associate Lecturer

Arden University is a growing organisation delivering online only and blended study options to students studying towards undergraduate degrees and master’s and MBA programmes. We have study centres in numerous locations across the UK, as well as a centre in Berlin, and a head office based in Coventry.

**The role**

This is a freelance role.

Delivering in person at our Study Centre in Birmingham, you will be teaching Arden University blended learning students by utilising a range of innovative learning materials and resources.

Arden currently has opportunities in Law from levels 4 through to level 6.

You will have an undergraduate degree in law (or equivalent qualifications) and hold or be working towards a master's in law or PhD.

You will be experienced at teaching students at level 4 and above in Law within the UK HE-sector and will be able to demonstrate your ability to deliver student-centred teaching approaches.

As our teaching is done both online and in person, experience of delivering lectures and supporting students in an online or blended learning environment would be desirable. Exposure to virtual learning environments, and other online tools to support student learning (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard or similar).

Experience of teaching private law modules would be advantageous.

We run occasional staff training events in our Coventry Head Office, there would be an expectation for you to attend where possible.

**Working Pattern**

You will be required to deliver in person teaching 2 days per week, per module, from either 9am-1pm, or 1:30pm - 5:30pm dependant on the requirements.

Please note, on both days worked, you will deliver teaching with students being both on site and accessing your class virtually via Zoom (restriction dependant).

As a suitable applicant you will be able to demonstrate you hold a British passport or have a valid right to work permit.
