We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our Pathology team to deliver a safe and efficient diagnostic service, ensuring high standards of practice are achieved and maintained.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Data Entry**: Accurately and efficiently enter data into the Pathology system.
**Specimen Handling**: Label and process specimens, dispatch them to the appropriate laboratory area, place them on equipment for analysis, or prepare them for delivery to external laboratories.
**Rotational Duties**: Participate in rotas to cover extended working hours, including Saturday and Sunday mornings and Bank Holidays.
**Central Services Tasks**:
**Specimen Reception**: Receive all specimens and request forms.
**Data Entry**: Ensure accurate and timely data entry.
**Pre-Analysis**: Conduct preliminary analysis of specimens.
**Results Line**: Manage the central results line.
**Consumables Distribution**: Distribute Pathology consumables to users.
**Report Management**: Print and distribute laboratory reports.
