**Receptionist**

**Responsibilities**:

- To deliver an effective receptionist/switchboard service for the academy and promptly and politely interact with all callers and in-person guests.
- Serving as all visitors' first point of contact and ensuring that the proper protection documentation is gathered and given to the HR Manager.
- Making a contribution to the protection, advancement, and personal care of children and young people in accordance with the Every Child Matters initiative and child protection protocols.
- Maintaining order and cleanliness in the reception area and other meeting spaces, as well as working with the marketing team to make sure that literature and visual displays are current.
- Organizing and maintaining the reception cover rota for post and academy activities and daily breaks.
- Carrying out any additional responsibilities as assigned by the line manager, such as filling in for missing co-workers on critical tasks.
- 5+ GCSE’s A*- B, including English and Maths
- NVQ level 2 in administration or equivalent
- Experience working in a busy setting and having the capacity to perform well under pressure are two desirable qualities.
- Knowledge of how to responsibly handle confidential information
- Experience performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks, including data entry and retrieval
- Good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills
