This bank role involves facilitating learning, providing a face-to-face placement and being actively involved in formative and summative assessment of students on the Community Learning Module. You would also be required to source patients for students to interview face-to-face in their homes, and agencies providing care to the patients to be interviewed face-to-face or virtually. You would be required to facilitate community days in a community base in South Warwickshire.

Experience and knowledge of working in a community setting is an essential requirement.

Training will be provided. The role typically requires 15-23 days commitment a year.

The post holder will work collaboratively with Warwick Medical School in the planning, delivery and evaluation of the community focussed modules.

The role involves facilitating education and placement activity, planning and evaluation of courses and active involvement in formative and summative assessment.

Involvement in programme development and teaching with Warwick University are key features of the role.

Development of the placement programme involves organising agency interviews, case finding and coordination of the programme.

Evaluation of the programme is a key role and done in conjunction with the University.

Provision of learning support to Medical Students undertaking Community focussed modules. Community Tutors are responsible for the education, support and assessment of students and work closely with Warwick Medical School.

Offers advice, support and facilitation to medical students, agencies and university colleagues.

Contribute to the assessment, planning and evaluation of the Community focussed modules.

Develop own knowledge and skills of personal and people development to assist medical students and colleagues learning and development.

Liaise closely with Warwick Medical School in the provision and development of pre-registration Medical Education.

Work with Managers, other agencies, and patients to plan, co-ordinate and maintain the programme.

Participate in informal and formal evaluation in conjunction with Warwick Medical School.

To demonstrate best practice and offer relevant, up to date and specialist knowledge in order to facilitate education and placement activity.

Participate in Community Tutor development sessions at Warwick University and contribute to the development of the role.

Create, maintain, and enhance relationships within multidisciplinary team: Liaise closely with other agencies, patients and University Tutors.

Participate in regular planning and evaluation meetings with the Medical School.

To participate in the implementation of Trust policies and processes and actively contribute to programme development.

Develop and maintain excellent communication skills with a range of people about sensitive matters and situations, at times being required to utilise developed persuasive and negotiation skills.

To provide structured feedback to students, agencies and university colleagues.

To maintain accurate records of assessments.

Ensure accurate documentation is submitted to the budget holder in a timely manner.
