SEN PRACTITIONER - Part time 30 hours a week, Monday to Friday 9am - 3pm term time only, £9.50 p/hr Hopwood House Day Nursery are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Early Years' Practitioner with a passion for SEN to join their team in Heywood to provided 1:1 support.
This nursery is a warm and inviting homely setting with a fantastic outdoor environment. We are looking for an individual to provide a hands-on, fun, creative and an innovative environment for children. Working with children provides constant challenges, personally and professionally. You could be planning creative learning opportunities, an exciting day trip or working with parents - the job will vary from day to day. If you have a level 3 or above in Early Years and have experience in a nursery setting we would love to hear from you
**Responsibilities and Duties**
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Main Duties**
- To ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care of the children following the statutory framework at all times
- To implement and adhere to a consistent daily routine both indoors and outdoors ensuring high quality teaching and learning experiences are offered to children at all times
- To plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and evaluation as required.
- To demonstrate current knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and that you comply with all areas of the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Ensuring that at all times the Welfare and Learning development requirements are met.
- Work in partnership with parents and carers.
- Undertake a shared responsibility for health and safety throughout the nursery.
- Ensure the general cleanliness of the children at all times.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Be fully aware of all emergency and security procedures relating to the nursery.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
**Qualifications and Skills**
- Minimum Level 2 Qualification or equivalent
- A paediatric first aid certificate is preferable
- Previous experience with the under 5's is desirable, however not essential
