Senior Artworker & Designer

TMS Global is a procurement outsourcing business and are a wholly owned subsidiary of DS Smith PLC, a FTSE100 listed multi-national packaging and display manufacturing business. TMS Global specialise in the outsourcing of retail display, print and packaging and are active in 97 markets globally and our TMS family consists of just over 300 people who are spread internationally across APAC, LATAM, EMEA and NA.

We are currently growing extensively in the UK and Europe to support FMCG brands to deliver print managed services in the POS and Display sector. We are looking for a Senior Artworker Designer to be based in the London / West London area, which will be a hybrid role with travel involved to be on-site with our client 1-2 days a week and home working.

About the role

As the Senior Artworker & Designer, you will be involved in the campaign development & artwork creation of in-store display solutions. You will be required to interact across the board with clients, retail specialists and product designers. There is a need to understand the retail environment & multiple sub channel requirements and possibilities of designing various in-store display solutions based on the category / brand / channel & shopper objectives.

Some of the responsibilities that you would cover are:

- Work closely with the TMS Central Design team and the Global Harmonisation Lead
- Work directly with designated clients, global, regional and/or local client services teams to determine the scope of projects.
- Co-create the opportunity and package the brief.
- Present design concepts directly to clients.
- Use digital illustration, photo-editing software, and layout software to create designs/
- Create visual elements such as logos, original images, and illustrations that help deliver a desired message.
- Design layouts and select colours, images, and typefaces to use.
- Incorporate changes recommended by clients / global services team into final designs.
- Review designs for errors before printing or publishing them.

About you

This would be a great role for you if you have knowledge of different material substrates, the ability to read and understand technical drawings, experience of print and managed services and experience across different types of POS including Temporary, permanent and Semi-Permanent displays. Having previous experience operating in a similar role with experience of the display and Procurement services environment and also having experience of being either client or supplier facing would be ideal for this position.
